Zusammenfassung

Die Bronchoskopie hat einen bedeutenden Stellenwert in der Diagnostik als auch in der Therapie von pneumologischen Krankheitsbildern. Hämoptysen oder zentrale Atemwegsstenosen sind häufige Indikationen für die interventionelle Bronchoskopie. Auch die Therapie von Lungenfrühkarzinomen ist eine Domäne der Bronchoskopie bei inoperablen Patienten. In den vergangenen Jahren haben sich zudem endoskopische Techniken als neue Therapieoptionen bei der fortgeschrittenen chronisch obstruktiven Lungenerkrankung oder dem unkontrollierten Asthma bronchiale etabliert.
