Knowledge of human papillomavirus (HPV) and HPV vaccine, which is a critical antecedent of HPV vaccine uptake for all genders,^{1, 2} varies by race and ethnicity.³. However, existing literature either excludes Asian Americans or aggregates all Asian origin groups under a single category. This approach overlooks the heterogeneity of Asian Americans—people from > 30 countries speaking numerous languages, with diverse immigration histories, cultural practices, and patterns of health services utilization.⁴ Data aggregation can mask important disparities in HPV awareness and knowledge among different origin groups. …
