Summary
Owing to the complexity of the treatment of condylar hyperplasia associated with dentofacial deformities, with the accompanying risk of complications resulting from surgical trauma to adjacent anatomic structures, the surgeon can make use of piezosurgery. This case report describes a patient with right condylar hyperplasia associated with dentofacial deformity who was treated surgically with piezosurgery with high condylectomy, articular disc repositioning and anchoring, and orthognathic surgery concomitantly. The approach led to stable results, satisfactory occlusion, and facial harmony.
