A 58-year-old man presented with sudden left-sided chest pain and shortness of breath. Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) was confirmed by an electrocardiogram (ECG) showing marked ST elevation with hyperacute T wave changes and a blood test with increased creatine kinase-MB fraction and troponin levels.
