We read with great interest the recent systematic review and meta-analysis conducted by Schuurmans et al., which explores the association between hypotension and mortality [
1]. The authors should be commended for their comprehensive analysis, incorporating 122 eligible studies. We agree with their conclusions regarding the adverse effects of hypotension on patient-relevant outcomes.
