Zusammenfassung

Digitale Medien und vergrößernde Sehhilfen erlauben heute eine gute theoretische und praktische Darstellung des Wurzelkanalsystems. Die mechanische Aufbereitung ermöglicht eine gründlichere Spülung. Aufgabe der Wurzelkanalfüllung ist es, das gesamte Wurzelkanalsystem dauerhaft zu verschließen und vor Mikroorganismen und Flüssigkeit zu schützen. Die postendodontische Restauration unterstützt dies. Der vorliegende Beitrag ordnet die Wurzelkanalfüllung in den Gesamtablauf der endodontischen Behandlung ein. Er stellt die wichtigsten Fülltechniken für Wurzelkanäle mit ihren Vor- und Nachteilen dar und beschreibt ihre klinische Anwendung.
