Zusammenfassung
Das Plattenepithelkarzinom der Haut ist ein metastasierender maligner Tumor, der sehr selten de novo auf gesunder Haut entsteht. Inder Regel entwickelt er sich auf lichtgeschädigter Haut oder auf Narben unterschiedlicher Genese (Strahlennarben, Narben nach Lupus vulgaris, chronisch irritierte Narben und onkogenen HPV bei Condylomata accuminata [20]). In über 98% der Fälle entwickelt er sich über eine Präkanzerose [18, 22] zum Carcinoma in situ. Diese Präkanzerosen entwickeln sich in den dem Licht ausgestzten Hautpartien, vorzugsweise beim älteren Menschen, weshalb auch das Durchschnittsalter der Hautkarzinompatienten mit 70 Jahren recht hoch ist.
