Gelenkerhaltende und nichtendoprothetische Operationen

Zusammenfassung

Gelenkerhaltende und nichtendoprothetische Operationen können keine Alternativen zur Endoprothetik am Ellenbogen bieten. Sie sind aber dann von Bedeutung, wenn eine Endoprothese – aus welchen Gründen auch immer – noch nicht in Betracht kommt oder nicht mehr verwendet werden kann. Vor allem bei den entzündlich rheumatischen Krankheiten sind die Synovialektomie, die Spätsynovialektomie und die resezierende Arthroplastik abwägend zu bedenken und in ihren Chancen und Risiken abzugrenzen. Die Arthrodese ist eine Ausnahmeindikation, führt sich doch immer zu einer empfindlichen Störung der Armfunktion.
