Allergien auf Betalaktamantibiotika, vor allem Penicillinallergien, gehören zu den am häufigsten berichteten Arzneimittelallergien. Ein Großteil der selbst angegebenen Penicillinallergien erweist sich jedoch als falsch. Die vermeintliche Annahme einer Penicillinallergie kann erhebliche negative Folgen haben. Für die hausärztliche Praxis ist es daher wichtig, eine entsprechende Vermutung abzuklären, was einem diagnostischen Detektivspiel gleichkommt. …
